Unlocked iPhone voicemail

I am new to iPhone, and this forum, so help on this issue would be appreciated. I prefer to buy my phone's unlocked. No bloatware, and if my carrier ticks me off, I don't have to buy a new phone. But, a voicemail notification shows up in text messages in some sort of code. Is there an app that I can download to help with this issue? If it makes a difference, I am on Verizon.

That might be what it is trying to show, but it looks like a long hyperlink that is unlockable, and takes you nowhere on the internet. Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted my last one.

Yes, I believe that is normal when you first install a SIM card in a Verizon iPhone. I saw this yesterday when I switched my SIM to an Android phone and then back to the iPhone when I started the iPhone - the only time I've seen that SMS message. Completely normal, I think that's just how Verizon makes sure that the iPhone is provisioned for VVM on an iPhone.
