Anyone else put their phone in their pocket upside down? Right after the 10 update I notice my phone glowing in my pocket a lot more than usual. And it seemed to have an effect on battery life. So I started putting it in upside down. And it doesn't seem to activate he raise to wake feature near as much.

I disabled the raise to wake feature because it was more of a nuisance to "me".

I've always put my phone upside down in my pocket even before iOS 10. I'm sure that's the norm for most but especially if you have raise to wake turned on.

I thought I was the only one. Good to know I'm not.

This feature is pretty cool... however I do find my screen turning on randomly more often. Saves pressing the home button all the time though

It won't wake near as much when upside down.

Initially, after I updated my iPhone 6s to iOS 10.0.3 (I skipped the versions before that one), it bothered me when I would put my phone in my bag and see the lockscreen lit up. I would press the sleep/wake button to turn it off, but at this point, after a month, it doesn't really bother me anymore. Needless to say, I put my phone in my bag face up. But when I go to bed, I always lay it facedown.

It still bothers me. But since I went to the plus my battery actually last a full, I don't worry about it as much.

I turned off that "feature" the minute I got on iOS 10. Very annoying.

I had the similar Moto Display on my last Android phone. It was one of the things I missed about that phone; raise to wake is a great, similar feature. So often I just want to see what notifications I've missed, and raise to wake means I can just look at the phone rather than look at the phone and press the power button.

It shouldn't wake at all if upside down in your pocket

It's my favorite iOS 10 feature.

I really like Raise to Wake – hopefully that's a sign of what's to come with OLED-displays in future iPhones (allways-on lock screen notifications would be cool…).
