People in Photos Reset After Last Beta Install

Is this just me? I'd spent literally hours combing through all of my photos to be sure that people were assigned to their correct faces and photos and suddenly none of it is there???

I'm sorry to hear this happened to you but like with all betas, Apple is testing out new features and services. I think the reset has everything to do with changes and tweaks Apple makes in their facial recognition algorithms which resets current faces.

I saw it too, though for me I'd rather see People gone or the ability to remove it from photos.

Yes, but this didn't happen to me in Beta 5. It was in a previous beta. I don't remember if 3 or 4.

Ah, in that case I don't know if it was planned or not. I always recommend making a good backup of whatever you can before updating a beta but I don't know if Faces info carries over in those.

It doesn't. Or at least it didn't. I've resigned myself to not making any changes to the Faces feature until the proper release next month. Frustrating, but oh well.
