Yes. Tried all that and still the same results after a while. I did switch to the iPhone 8 Plus and and the same thing is happening. I took it to apple and when they tried to wipe the phone clean, it bricked and they ended up giving me a replacement. And the replacement is also having this problem. These are photos from the iPhone 8 Plus lock screen

When you set up the 8 Plus, did you do it from a back up, or as new? If you're setting each device up with an iCloud or iTunes back up, then that may be it. The issue may be in the back up. That's the only thing I can think of that makes sense. There's nothing else the devices have in common that would cause multiple devices to do the same way. It's not a common issue. I haven't seen anyone else on the forums I frequent with that problem. Not that exact problem like in the images. Try restoring the phone as new, not from a back up.

Maybe it's one of your widgets causing it. Delete all your widgets off, then add them back one at a time and see what happens.
Wait. Is it widgets or the notification center? I forget.

When at the store the specialist and I agreed that it could be the back ups so instead of backing up, I set it up as new with thought that it will not occur again. I will be contacting them again soon and try one more time to fix this issue. In the mean time I tried removing apps and widgets to see if it is one of them causing it but it still happens just the same.

We (the apple tech specialist and I) agreed that it was the back ups as it is happening to the iPad as well. So I did set up the replacement iPhone 8 Plus as new. Only things that came back in were contacts. I re-downloaded the apps I use from the App Store and it just started again. I will contact Apple again to see what they can do.

If it's a hardware issue, it wouldn't be likely to show on more than one device. So I think it's a software issue. Have you restored the iPad as new as well?

No. I haven’t restored the iPad yet. What I decided to do is delete more widgets and apps to see if those are the culprits to the lock screen woes. If it continues, then I will do a restore. I hope iOS 11.1 will come with a fix.

Great tip gwhizkids! Changing the language totally did the trick. Yay! You saved me from having to see BOLD text. Cheers, zk

Hey yeah I tried that too. Didn’t work for me. What I ended up doing was removing all widgets then adding one by one over a few days at a time. While doing that the bug was, I want to say messing with home screen. Stuttering animations and then the app icons would briefly disappear. After 6 widgets the lock screen glitch returned. Still happened after 11.1 but more subdued.
