There have not been WatchOS public betas before... I ran watchOS2 developer betas with public iOS 9 betas without issue.

watchOS is a tricky one because you can't roll back if there are issues like you can iOS (without sending to Apple). Unless that changes we are unlikely to see a public beta for watchOS.

The iOS9 profile expired July 1... so, I'm going to venture to guess a new profile will be needed - and, is not yet available...

Thanks for the info. I know the iOS 9 profile expired on 1st July, but we still got the 9.3.3 beta 5 version yesterday using it.

I did apply for the beta 10 profile, but as you said it's not available yet. I just got a notification thanking me for signing up, and to watch my email for more details...

That's what I figured. I wasn't sure of there was anyone who was running the developer beta for iOS 10, but not the watch beta, and could comment on perfomance between the two.

Note that you'll need to delete the old iOS9 beta profile before installing the new one.

deleted the iOS 9.3.3 profile but I think I'm gonna give the iOS 10 beta some time before installing that profile

I'm surprised this went public with this beta. A lot of glitches on dev beta 2. It works fine as a daily driver but expect lots of little glitches.
