It's about that time again! The Daytona 500 is just a few weeks away. I always get excited for the races, but am frustrated because most of the races are now covered on cable or subscription channels. We watch our tv over the air, and via Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu. So if anyone has any suggestions for me, I'd appreciate it!

Each year, the races, especially the Daytona 500, brings more traffic to the Orlando area. Of course, it’s great for the economy but I try to avoid I-4 like the plague when the race is taking place....

My only suggestion is MRN radio. The next best thing to seeing it. The days of free over the air programming are gone I'm afraid. Born and raised in NC. NASCAR and Tarheel basketball are ingrained in my DNA.

Here's my suggestion.

Find out what network will be carrying the race, then see if YouTube TV has that network. Then try the 1 week trial during the weekend of the race. You'll have to remember to cancel before the trial is up or you'll get billed.
