Folks,

As you may know yesterday we lost Doc in a plane crash. Baseball fans in Toronto and Philadelphia (like myself) mourn along with other Baseball fans and of course Roy's family and friends. Sad SAD day. Certainly he will eventually make it in to the Hall of Fame, hopefully on the first ballot in 2019, BUT we shall see. In any event I want to make this thread as a tribute to this great player!

Here's an article from our local paper about that magic season where he pitched a perfect game AND a no hitter in the same season, with the no hitter being only the 2nd ever in the post season!

He was one of the finest players to ever put on a Blue Jay uniform our thoughts and prayers are with his family ,such a great loss of such a great athlete and human being .

I understand there is an effort started to get his Hall of Fame induction expedited.
