    Folks,

    Wanted to start a thread for the posting of the greatest sporting plays and calls. You know like the "shot heard around the world" (most of us are too young for that!) BUT what do we remember? One of them for me was Bobby Orr's "flying goal" that won the Stanley Cup for Boston in 1970. (I was just a WEE lad, BUT I do remember used to watch with my dad)...



    And a few years later our own announcer the late Gene Hart making THIS call....

    One of the greatest plays I recall is Alabama vs Miami in the 1993 Sugar Bowl. George Teague just strips the ball away from him.

    pkcable...totally agree with you on the Gene Hart call.

    Since I'm a die hard Philly sports fan, I'm going to throw Harry Kalas into the discussion as well...specifically him calling the final out of the 2008 WS.
