    AT&T's been slapping a "5GE" indicator on some of its phones to promote faster LTE speeds, and as a result of that, the carrier is now being sued by Sprint.

    I applaud this.
    Using anything that’s close to 5G in writing or speaking is plain misleading.

    I already hate the fact that 4G in Europe is the same as LTE in the US, but 4G in the US isn’t the same as in Europe

    I really hope that the use of 5G will be universal.

    It's not much different from what other carriers are doing. That label in the status bar though. It is causing confusion. And I can see why other carriers are miffed.
