Apple's report for its Q1 2015 fiscal quarter was astonishing for its iPhone numbers alone: 74.5 million units sold, its highest quarter ever. But Mac sales were also astonishing: 5.519 million units, the best Mac results for a holiday quarter ever.

Yeah I lost my space grey in Brazil. Just got back today and took a new job where I won't be travelling anymore, so I shouldn't be disappearing anymore for weeks at a time. Got a new gold 6 today, not the color I wanted but it's all they had at the time.

I heard it broken down as $8.3 million profit per hour everyday of the quarter. To me that makes it seem even more impressive. And the iPhone numbers break down as 34,000 per hour everyday of the quarter.

Oh and it's the biggest quarterly profit (by almost $2 billion) posted by any company for a quarter ever worldwide. And that's after adjusted the nearest contenders for inflation.

    Doomed!!!

Its difficult to overstate just how absurd this is, but heres my best attempt: last quarter Apples revenue was downright decimated by the strengthening U.S. dollar; currency fluctuations reduced Apples revenue by 5% a cool $3.73 billion dollars. That, though, is more than Google made in profit last quarter ($2.83 billion). Apple lost more money to currency fluctuations than Google makes in a quarter. And yet its Google that is feared, and Apple that is feared for.

As much as I complaint about Apples technology innovation (or lack there of) they do STUPENDOUSLY well for my stock portfolio. I just can't complaint. With this news I will hold off all Apple complaints for a while.
