Apple sends out invites to special event on October 16

Apple has sent out invitations for a special event taking palce October 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM PT. This is widely expected to be the reveal of new iPads and Macs. A launch date for OS X Yosemite is also expected. The invitation has a partial colorful Apple logo, along with the phrase "It's been way too long".
