Apple, typically tight-lipped about such things, says that pre-orders for the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus set a new overnight record for the company. The newest iPhones went live for pre-order at midnight Pacific time last night, and while there was plenty of glitching along the way, that didn't stop many from getting in their order. Apple isn't alone in the new bigger iPhones being an overnight pre-order hit ? AT&T's said that pre-order demand for the phones was greater than the last two phone launches.
