In case Twitter wasn't putting enough stuff in your face, you might soon see a "buy" button in the official Twitter app. Yep, the same Twitter that's pulling in to your stream the favorites of people you follow (and sometimes even people you don't follow) now wants to urge you to tap on that buy button. Twitter is partnering initially with shopping platform Fancy, direct creatives seller Gumroad, Musictoday, and mobile payments company Stripe.

Twitter, what are you doing? Twitter, stahp!

The thing I like about Twitter is the simplicity of the options and interface over and above Facebook. No in-your-face adverts. No game requests, No extraneous trash cluttering up your feed.

If that changes, I will have no compunction in dropping Twitter like a hot potato; it's great because of the simplicity but it's not so great that I would put up with too much trash in my feed.

After all, without the Social Fixer browser extension for Firefox, I would NOT be using Farcebook at all.

I don't need or want Twitter with in my face "Buy" anything. I don't go to Twitter to shop. I don't want iBeacons either. But Apple loves those and thinks we want it. SMH!

Hmm might be the reason to stop installing updates for Twitter on my devices. Currently runs perfectly on my iPhone and on my android tablet (yes yes I know lol) they have updates twice weekly while there seems to change nothing. Stopped updating twitter for android ages ago.
What about third party apps, will they get that buy button too?
