Verizon has announced that they will be including an extra gigabyte of data to customers who sign up for a new data plan. According to Verizon, you'll need to upgrade your phone or activate a smartphone on a More Everything plan with at least 1GB of data to get these free bits and bytes. This is in addition to the recent announcement of new 2GB single-line plans for $60 monthly that we heard about last week.

I called last week to increase my data and I was given another promotional gigabyte for free. I still think Verizon needs to rethink their pricing.

^^^ The main reason we haven't dropped Verizon is due to their coverage. For a plan with three smartphones, our bill is quite high, and that's after my corporate discount plan.

I also got the 1GB promotional increase after contacting them to see what I could do to reduce our plan cost. While I appreciate the 1GB gesture, the cost is still relatively high compared to the other options.

Same here. Got an extra gig for free for a year. But they are still way high on plans.

They're pricey, but for single lines. It works out to a pretty good deal.
This plan shaves $22 a month off my bill.

I got the free 1 extra gb when I called to ask a question. It's only for 1 year though. We don't use much anyway. Wifi 97% of time. 4 phones.

T-Mobile is giving free data too, and their network is expanding... I think Verizon needs to get a little bit easier on the pricing. Just a little.
