Amazon to raise the price of Prime service by $20

If you're a fan of Amazon's Prime service, be prepared to pay more when your membership renews this year. Amazon sent out a letter to Prime members to let them know that it'll cost $99 from here on out, up from $79.

I wonder how many people will drop the service because of the price hike. If they offered a monthly payment option, I think they'd have more users but that's just my opinion.

I gotta think about this one. The instant video is cool but not too much different than Netflix which of course has a ATV app. I may renew.

Exactly! My guy uses Amazon Prime and he's never getting our packages on time. So the hike in price better come with a hike in productivity/accuracy. I pay more, you deliver on time. Capisce?

I expected this but I think I may be cutting down on my Amazon purchases from then on...

9.9 times out of 10 I get my packages in 2 days and when I don't amazon makes good on it with a free month of prime or a credit.

I use the free trial every year then cancel. No way I could pay for the year long subscription or the wife would divorce me for spending all of the money. lol

they "lied" me once and when I heard about the ammount of money the were going to take away from me I canceled it immediatly
