Even though there aren't any porn apps in the App Store, that doesn't mean there aren't ways to conveniently get porn on your iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV via other means. And in many cases you can even do so for free. So if you're interested, and hey we aren't here to judge, follow along!

Aren't we suppose to be a "family oriented site"? ….:)….Why the heck are we showing minors who frequent this site how to view porn for FREE with their i-devices? #JustSayin'….Also, shouldn't a NSFW tag be assigned to this thread?

I don't know what I think of this. I'm usually not conservative. I know people and even kids can find this information on their own. I'm just a little unsure about this topic of discussion on iMore.

Hey folks,

We post all kinds of content for all kinds of readers. What we need to make sure we do is keep things that won't appeal to the general audience separate, of only those actively seeking it out will find it.

We've made some changes to make sure that, if we ever post about stuff like this in the future, there's no way anyone who doesn't want to see it will see it.

We do want to make sure that no majority, even vocal, prevents us from covering politics, religion, culture, or other things simply because they disagree with them or are different, but we do want to make sure nothing inappropriate for the wide audience gets shoved in front of them.

Apologies if we offended anyone, that was never our intent. And thank you for you feedback. That's what lets us make sure that every day we get better than the one before!

This site has been well known for a while. If kids do frequent the site then should at least have some kind of lock or somethinh

At least someone in charge had the balls to respond. I guess you could open a PORN and PERV area of the forum. It’s ok to shove this down our throats, but let a discussion get the least bit political and you shut it down...

Rethinking my level of participation here.

Yes, but those who are actively seeking it are already finding it. In this regard, at least in my opinion, we're opening the door to those who may have been reluctant, but interest has now been piqued, i.e., teenagers.

We've made some changes to make sure that, if we ever post about stuff like this in the future, there's no way anyone who doesn't want to see it will see it.
Thank you.

I agree. but this particular thread was basically shoved in front of us….:)

Personally, I wasn't offended, but I was surprised that a topic of this sort was posted & supported by iMore, and I think others felt the same way. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, Rene. It is appreciated. Take care…:)

I also regret we don't get similar outrage when we post links to horror movies, Game of Thrones, or violent video games. I can't watch any of that stuff (literally makes me ill), but as a society we seem absolutely okay with it. (I don't in any way mean to equate any of those things with porn, but I do think many of our cultures are way more accepting of violence than they are of sex.)

I'm not saying we wouldn't cover Game of Thrones or violent games or whatever — we do even though I personally don't like them — but I do kinda regret we don't get blasted for that too.

Each to their own?but I must be the least conservative of the mods/ambassadors. I wasn't surprised or bothered by the article at all. I just kinda skimmed the headline and said yeah I know all about those apps and how to find porn if I want it. And I say this as the mother of two young daughters one of which freely googles for stuff she needs for school. It just didn't bother me and I agree with Rene that exposing my kids to violence bothers me more than sex. But each to their own?
Fittingly NPR's Morning Edition also had a segment about the Tinder and Grindr apps including mentioning that people were using them for hookups rather than finding a long term relationship. I'll be interested to see what sort of feedback they get on that.

Karen I think I'm right there with you. When I first read the article it didn't bother me at all. Then, I read some of the comments. Whether we want to admit it or not this stuff is there and yes kids will seek it out.

honestly when I first started reading this thread I was going to respond with a " what the hell" comment... But after reading Rene's comments he does make a very Valid point. We can talk about walking dead, and violent shows all day long, and the minute the word porn or sex gets brought up we immediately get up in arms. me included. I do agree that this type of material SHOULD be blocked from younger peoples eyes, I don't really think the post was THAT bad.

Rene did indeed bring up valid points, however, let us not downplay porn. We immediately think of the typical sex act between consenting couples, but porn is more than that. Adult w/toddlers, preteens with teens, violent intercourse, human with animals -- you get my point. Will spammers look at threads promoting porn and think it's okay to start flooding the site with porn SPAM? I hope not.
