The CB pin sharing forums are notorious for being some form of craigslist personals so I'm not sure how that's funny. And by extension, the rest of my post.

I've bought that to their attention numerous times and many people have complained about it.

I'm obviously missing something. Are you finding it funny because he feels the way that he does in regard to the thread topic? If so, how should he feel about it? The same as you? If so, how's that and why is that?

I find it hilarious that he feels this thread should be "labeled" NSFW. Really? Are there nude pics? Porn pics? Videos? Again, if people find it such an atrocity, pretend it doesn't exist, don't post on it, and it'll fall to the bottom of the thread pile....like it was about to until he posted.

Fair enough, however, I do agree that the NSFW tag should have been added, and I stated that it my initial response. At my previous place of employment, the word, "porn" would have been flagged, and although the thread in and of itself does not contain any porn in it, my surfing habits, while at work, would have been watched more closely for a while. I've witnessed it happen to others with my own eyes. Anyway, thanks for replying. I do appreciate it...

Crack berry is blocked at work due to the pornographic nature of the pin sharing forums there.

Looks like iMore will be next.

I'm 100% against this and the rebuttals put forth are at best weak, at worse hysterical, and generally a laughing stock.

This Thread should be labeled NSFW at the very least and probably shouldn't even exist.

You say the rebuttals are weak, hysterical and laughable...but you offer no constructive input of your own? The quintessential sucker punch...no real logical argument or stance, only that you don't agree. You sound like so many closed minded, irrelevant people who argue against/for religion or politics, but refrain from sharing their own view because they are incapable of doing so with any legitimacy.

I'll be honest, I actually applaud your being blocked at work so nobody has to read this pointless and soulless drivel. I've always found it pitifully hilarious that a person would need an account to be "locked"...shows your inability to control yourself.

I hear what you're saying, buddy, and I do appreciate other's opinions...yours more than most, but wouldn't you have to actually click on this thread at work for it to be flagged? Seems like an obvious decision not to if that's the result.

Yeah, you would think, but that wasn't the case in the incident I mentioned above. To be fair, however, that place had been dealing with numerous employees, who quickly became former employees, viewing porn on their work computers. Everybody was put on notice after that, and thus the reason for the flag on the word itself. Anyway, depending on where you come from, your experiences or upbringing, the mention of the word itself, can evoke strong emotions. Anyway, sorry for the delayed reply. I was watching the final minutes of the Duke vs Syracuse basketball game.....

Understood, and thanks for your response. I understand about a certain person's upbringing, but this world is way too uptight about things. Odds are, the same people that are so over the edge about porn, are also the same people against gay marriage, etc. Don't want to get all involved in that stuff.....just a sad reality from my perspective.

No. If you visit it the forum from a browser the HTML is downloaded and the thread title with that word is included and can trigger an alarm.

This happens even if you don't click on the thread to read it.

Issues like that are exactly why I use my own LTE iPads at the office. I don't want to be using Big Brother's resources for even the slightest browsing.

If something is to be labeled it should be labeled in plain language. I for one don't have any idea what NSFW means? However the title kind of says it all and I got the idea. After the initial shock I decided to at least have a look and see what was going on... wow I didn't expect to see this sort of thing here but I guess there is still free speech and freedom of the press somewhere as it should be.

    Not Safe For Work.

It's a common internet acronym for content that can potentially be bad. Not just work, but any situation where the subject matter may be inappropriate.

Even though the thread has no porn in it, if someone passes by and sees a screenshot of pornhub on your device/screen it may not go down well. Assumptions can be made.

I used to tell people all the time that work computers are not to be used as if they are your own because they are monitored, especially if you work for a government like I did. I even told them to not use the work's open Wi-Fi network with their personal devices for anything inappropriate.

This is true for a work environment in general. I work at a university so it's a bit more open than the average network but even we have acceptable use policies which would not include this sort of thing.

Yeah I work for the gov't too. It always astounds me how people are willing to use work's monitored Wifi for their personal browsing. No thanks.

I don't mean to bump this thread, but I feel I must post this.
If posting pornographic content will get someone permanently banned, why is it okay to post how get it? If posting "bad words" will get you an infraction, why is it okay to post where to get porn? This is very very contradictory, unprofessional, and just plain doesn't make sense.
