Wouldn’t call it competition since they had nothing to show.

Samsung and google are waiting for apple to release their xr os and headset and will promptly copy as much of it as they can in a year and release their version, and it will fail .

3 companies cooperating. Google and Samsung who have the tensest of marriages, Google who skips Qualcomm for Samsung SOCs, Qualcomm and Samsung almost direct competition.
Previous collaboration: Samsung Google and Fitbit in 2021 to make a combined smartwatchOS powerhouse. Smartwatch market share: Samsung 2021, 10% market. Samsung 2022 10% market. Fitbit 2%-2%. Google pixel watch n/a - <1%.

They’ll watch Apple and try to mimic. But There’s money in that. Apple typically sets the market, takes the biggest share, but there is a large section of consumers who will not buy Apple, period. VR/AR will be expanded by Apple, consumers will get to know it, the trio will get there single digit ‘won’t buy Apple’ buyers.
