It is “rumored” that Apple is currently rolling out AirTag firmware v2.0.36 (2A36) to 25% of devices, with 100% rollout on Friday. Whether it’s true or not remains to be seen.

If that’s true, I wonder if that’s why my AirTag hasn’t updated yet. As of today it’s still on 1.1.301

Wow another firmware update is coming! Apple has never been this happy to update AirTags two consecutive months in a row in my entire ownership. Guess I’ll probably be near the end of the line for the update as usual per the Apple rollout. All of mine are still in 2.0.24 so the waiting game begins
