recap: 90 billion overall revenue. 2022 Fiscal total revenue of 394 billion. Total net profit (the bottom-bottom line) was about 100 billion.
-iPhone hits Wall Street expectation, almost, at 42,5 billion. A big 10% year over year(YoY) jump. Credit FFR, he has been calling it. Apple is continuing its expand its utter dominance of the premium market. Tim Cook points out Android switchers hits double digits.
-Mac with an absurd quarter, 25% YoY jump, 11.5 billion. But Tim Cook warns that there will be a steep sequential drop (sequential meaning compared to last quarter, not YoY quarter).
-The march of hearables-wearables-other continues. About a 10% YoY jump, nearing 10 billion. I think the days of sub 10 billion dollar quarters for this category are approaching an end. New users of this category about 50%
Substantial iPad drop. Down over 13% YoY at about 7 billion. The iPad/tablet market has cooled. Note, Apple still dominates the market with marketshare equal to Samsung, Amazon, Huwei.
-Apple's shining star, Services/non hardware, sees the smallest jump in years at 5% YoY. 19 billion. Paid subscribers hits a staggering 900 million.

Great post up and away.

Also worth sharing, the iPhone is starting to gain significant marketshare in emerging markets. Samsung mobile is going to have a bad fourth q.

That is a great point FFR, one I definitely should have mentioned. Emerging markets are a place that Apple has been a comparatively tiny part of the market for the last several years. I think India is around 2 percent, Vietnam around 1 percent (correct me if I am wrong). IMHO India looks quite a bit like the Chinese market a handful of years ago, poised for the iPhone to make BIG gains over the next several years. And the overall Apple story is the same almost everywhere: sell an iPhone and you pretty much have a customer for life that will buy other Apple products.

And how a story can change. Look at these 2018 headlines:
