My thoughts are simple. If Apple introduces an iPhone with a USB-C port then so be it. It wouldn’t be an inconvenience to me at all.

Lightning port is the only inconvenience. My,Mac book and iPad use use USB-C already. All of my Android devices uses USB-C as well. It would be great to finally get rid of the lightning cord and have 1 type of cord for all devices. Lightning port is a major inconvenience especially when I'm already using USB-C ports on other Apple devices. At this point lightning makes no sense.
