Should Apple sell special edition iPhones in partnership with companies?

Could Apple follow the lead of Samsung, OnePlus, and even BlackBerry? Could an iPhone with some sort of tie-in be any good?

Don’t they already do this with the Product(red) phones they currently sell?

Are we talking about collaborating with other companies as well….? Similar to Hermès collabs with the  watch.

The problem I see with this, is usually special edition collabs are pricey. With that being said, you would price out the average iPhone buyer, but cater to the higher end to be able to afford such “luxury”.

Or am I not understanding this properly.

I recall reading about a gold iPhone a couple of years ago. The price was exorbitant!
