The thing is, Apple controls the App Store and iOS. Epic wanted 100% of the money for everything they have. Apple is asking for payment for using their platform. That's all fair. Nowhere in all this, except at the very beginning, has anyone mentioned how Google also takes 30% through the Play Store. The biggest difference there is that developers can use in-app purchases to bypass Play Store fees, and it's easier to sideload apps and completely bypass the Play Store. Anyway, everyone here is right and wrong. It's a whole hubbub of wasted time and money.
