China is not the U.S.

If Apple wants to do business in China it will have to comply to Chinese rules and regulations. That applies to any other country around the world.

It is definitely a conundrum! I recall last year the dispute between Apple and Russia, regarding pre-installing Apps approved by the Russian Government.

And if Chinese rules act to the detriment of other nations rules.. ?

Then don’t do business in China. The point is this: People in certain nations do not have the same liberties as people in others. Whether it’s right or wrong is irrelevant. Violating laws may get you jailed or fined in the States whereas the same could get you executed somewhere else.

People often say how important it is to maintain one’s culture, but then freak out about certain aspects of that culture.
