The Nintendo Switch has officially sold more units than the 3DS

Nintendo's latest financial report showed hardware sales growth of 35.8% over the past fiscal year, with total hardware sales of 79.87 million units meaning that it sold more hardware than the Nintendo 3DS family has in its lifetime. Animal Crossing, Mario Kart and Super Mario 3D All-Stars topped the charts in software sales this past fiscal year as well.
