TikTok lobbyists have told the Trump campaign an all-out ban on the app could cost him millions of votes in November's presidential election, particularly in key battleground states.

I don’t like the politicization of news, like this article. It is slanted and one sided, especially with the headline. Of course Tik Tok doesn’t want to be banned and they are using demagoguery to lobby their point. Not fair and can be argued as interference with the election.

It is especially slanted when the same writer, also writes this article:

After President Donald Trump threatened to ban TikTok last month, the app was flooded with videos of users crying and telling their friends to go out and vote against Trump in retaliation for taking aim at their digital hangout.
If you’re presidential vote is based on an app getting banned, then you probably don’t need to be voting.

    Just saying.

I do agree that gathering private information should be minimized to zero, even between friendly nations.
But banning an entertainment app is ridiculous though. I wish there was another way achieve that.

You have a lot of youth that is voting for the first time. Anything can sway a vote when you have somebody undecided. If you are a trump supporter, you don’t want anything that can cause controversy with 100 million US users.

The youth will vote one way regardless of an app. Millennial are mostly liberal anyway.

If you are a Donald Trump supporter, you already have something controversial and that is Donald Trump. It’s almost a selling point, or feature.

Looks like Oracle and Walmart are going to get TikToc. President Trump announced it yesterday. It will be ran from a place in Texas, allegedly.
