Apple sued over claim gift cards aren't secure enough

A lawsuit filed against Apple claims that Apple has failed to implement tough enough security procedures to secure its physical gift cards.

The customer bought the Apple gift card from Walmart. Shouldn’t the customer be suing the Walmart they bought the damaged merchandise from to get their money back?

I purchased a card from a local convenience store and the clerk failed to activate it properly! I never blamed Apple and the store manager made it right!

The article states, the cards are targeted by thieves "who electronically access the Apple gift cards at the point of sale...” With that being said, the gift cards are secure. Thieving cashiers appear to be the problem.
