SMH....”Acting” is just that.....acting. Denzel Washington played the role of Robert McCall in the two “Equalizer” movies. The 80’s TV show with the same name and character was played by the late Edward Woodward who happens to be white (English).

Denzel brought his style to the character and I assume the actress mentioned in the article brought her style to the mixed race character she portrayed.

Why did Ms Bell take the roll in the first place? Her bow out seems disingenuous to me. It seems like the reason she is bowing out now is to squash any fallout in advance, if she were to be called out. She can appear the hero. If 2020 didn’t play out the way it has, she would probably still happily acting the roll. It is easy for her to bow out. She is a big star and has less to lose.
