According to the current specs of MacOS Server, VPN is no longer included.

I think that's been the state of things for the past 2+ years before the above article was written.

I would love it if Apple got back in the game of making computers for business but it seems not to be. I'm running OS X Server 5.1.7 for my business -- which is fine -- but it no longer has a credible upgrade path so I'll have to replace it someday with something non-Apple.
