The iPhone Pro Max was pitted against the Galaxy Note 10 in a real-world speed test, and though the iPhone performed admirably, it still lost to Samsung’s flagship.

Full story from the iMore Blog...

Huh...that’s surprising. Apple’s processors have always been the fastest in the recent 3-4 years, but it seems that Samsung’s/Qualcomm’s processors packed with huge amounts of RAM have finally managed to beat them in a speed test.

Still, both phones are extremely fast and I doubt you’ll notice the difference in everyday usage (would the Note 10’s 8GB of RAM pay off in multitasking though?)

“The iPhone 11 Pro Max quickly took the lead by opening apps like Starbucks, Adobe Rush, Snapseed and Microsoft Excel easily with a time of 1 minute and 48 seconds compared to 1 minute and 58 seconds.”

The iPhone pro is 10 seconds faster than the note 10 at opening apps. That’s impressive.

No doubt once most apps are optimized for the new a13 processor the iPhone will have no trouble retaining the app in memory for the second round.

Happens every year.
