It's not just you: Apple's system status says App Store is down for everyone.

I heard about this last night, but everything seems to be working now, according to Apple's System Status webpage. I was able to update apps and iMessage has been working just fine.

Ugh, I just realized that the link I posted yesterday somehow was incorrect. So, for future reference, here's the correct link:

The link is correct, but it doesn't take you to the correct page. It's supposed to take you to a page that looks like this:

    Attachment 126207

I have no idea why this is happening. SIGH!

I think it's an iMore issue. This is the link I get when I quote your post.

Reporting issues like this never seems to get any results.

    Correct link takes you here:

App Store, Apple TV down, FaceTime, iMessage also struggling for some-screen-shot-2019-05-21-11.13.48-am.jpg

Tried it in both Chrome and Safari on two Mac's and one PC so I don't think it's a browser issue.

If you need to check the status of systems at Apple just google search Apple System Status. It should be the first result.

Still get the Apple's Support page. Is that what you intended?

Was just testing and gathering info to provide to Mobile Nations staff. I posted the same link you had, and tried also posting a more generic link (google). The staff has been alerted and are looking at the issue.

My daughters iPad is signed out of iMessage and every time I try to sign back in it won’t go through.

Anyone know if this is a common thing?

Well there HAD been issues with this, but according to the Apple status site, those issues are resolved. Try restarting her device, and then try again. Make sure you have her correct info. Either phone number, OR perhaps email (if her iPad is the only thing accessing iMessage), and her correct Apple ID password.

Was there a message? I tried toggling iMessage off, then back on. I then got a "waiting for activation" message. It took several hours and a few hard resets, but finally came back on. The resets were probably not necessary. I read it can take up to 24 hours to activate.

That message came up and was still doing so today. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I did what you said and it reset itself. Thanks!

    Folks,

It looks like one of the iMore Mods has fixed our links to the Apple System Status page. This very handy page can tell you what if any outages there are at Apple. I recommend you bookmark it on your browser! Again here is that link....
