Cringing at iPhones on CONCRETE?!

Does anyone else cringe when they see an iPhone or iPad, unprotected, photoed on a concrete surface… like in this iMore article:



Sometime, the device is even FACE DOWN *gasp!*:



I honestly have a such a visceral response to these photos that it's hard to even focus on the accompanying article!

iMore, please, make it stop! Oh… and keep up the otherwise excellent work!

I don’t see on any of those photos that there is NO protection though.

By "no protection," I mean like no case or anything in between the rough concrete and phone. It's just aluminum (or glass) directly against the concrete. Eek!

That’s just it.
Maybe there is a small protective film between concrete and bottom device.

Yeah… that seems like a bit of a leap of faith to me.

Most photos like do use a cloth at least between the concrete and device. It’s just hidden from view for the photo.
