    If you were made Director of Right to Repair at Samsung or Apple or any major consumer electronics company, how would it all work?

    Same way as any other manufacturer, by all means fix it yourself,and by the way if you do your warranty may be affected. eg if anybody but our authorised agencies work on our product, and it still does not function correctly, don’t come crying to us !!

    Exactly right. While I have the tools, knowledge and most importantly PATIENCE to work on my own Apple devices, I'd rather pay an authorized repair facility to do it, and do it right.
