    Apple is trying to replace your cable box with an Apple TV. The company's partnership with Charter is their latest step down that road.

    Unfortunately the Charter Spectrum app will only work while on Charter internet. So if you go on vacation and want to watch it on LTE, you'll be out of luck. And a VPN connection won't work. You'll get a message that the Charter app doesn't support VPN connections. Speaking from experience.
