If you’re an audiophile who likes to keep your music in FLAC format, you’ll soon be able to play those files on your iPhone or iPad if it's running iOS 11.

I know it's not native support but it's still a step in the right direction to supporting more file formats and this is great to hear. I have quite a few .flac files and it would be um, 'music to my ears' if I'm able to play them on my iPhone or iPad without having to install apps and do 'work arounds' 😃

Hopefully we get native support in the future. Not likely, but it's nice to dream.

I don’t care if they natively support audiophile quality formats if they don’t implement a native multiband equalizer.
