AT&T has made a slight alteration to how the US carrier will throttle speeds on unlimited data plans. The company will no longer restrict net access should you hit 5GB of data in congested areas. This limit has been bumped to 22GB, which is a sizeable increase for those who simply require data in said areas.

Boom! And I just got the "you have used 3.75 GB" text yesterday. Glad to see this change, however, if I had the "Next" plan I could go over 40GB, paying an extra $10 per GB and not get throttled! AT&T really shouldn't be throttling at all and the 22GB move is just another maneuver to silence the unlimited data crowd. I am glad to see the increase but again, we shouldn't be throttled at all.
