Recording an Animoji on iOS 14

I seem to have lost the ability to record an Animoji talking in iOS 14, to send in a text....I cannot find the record button like in previous iOS releases....anyone else noticing that, or did they change the process or something?

I just tried it out running iOS 14 and the record button is still there on the bottom right and is working as designed
