iMessage combining messages, how can I fix this?

iMessage combining messages

Is anyone else having this problem? My iPhone iMessage works fine but on my iPad 2 AIR i have iMessages going to one contact from two seperate contacts (both have iPhones). Example: Contact 1 will receive iMessages from contact 1 and contact 2 on my iPad. If i send an iMessage to contact 2 it'll show up in contacts 1 thread. If I reply to either contacts then contact 1 receives the message. THIS ONLY HAPPENS ON MY IPAD! If I message contact 2 on my iPhone then it'll show in the same thread on my iPad. If I try to message contact 2 on my iPad it opens the thread for contact 1.
They have no duplicate info and are two separate people.

I'm not aware of this issue at all. Have you tried rebooting your device or adjusting the setting in iMessage on your iPad? I would also verify the contact info that stored in the iPad.

I've changed the contacts information (both of them) and made sure they were correct. The only thing I havent done is a master reset
