can i see which device was used to send an imessage?

I want to know if a imessage I sent was sent with my iphone or with a macbook air. How would I do this?

Welcome to imore. Unfortunately no there isn't a way anymore as you can send I messages from your iphone and I pad now from the same number. Sometimes if you get an I message from an email it's a good indicator that they are on Mac but not always
