Why aren't iMessages and Apple Store not opening on my Mac?

iMessages and Apple Store not opening on my Mac

iMessages and the Apple Store will not open. I am running 10.10 on my mac and most recently those 2 apps stopped working. I tried to use the application dvd that came with my mac to fix the issue but it didn't obviously. can anybody help?!

Have you tried signing out and back in with your Apple ID?

thank you for the reply. the apps are just not opening up. they quit out or have to be forced quit. i have restarted and tried to reinstall the apps
