Can Imessages be read "real time" on another device? I want to know if my husband can read my Imessages as they are being sent and received if he has access to my apple ID and password.

If you're using the feature where iMessage is shared between iOS devices and a Mac - yes.

You need a separate iCloud ID, separate iMessage ID and FaceTime ID. Your iTunes ID can be the same.

Yes you need a separate iCloud ID but you can use the family sharing feature to share iTunes & App purchases
