Why I can't enable iMessage

iMessage is activated in my device. I was sending messages with iMessage until my contact send me a normal sms and from then I can't send him with iMessage

He might have changed devices or disabled iMessage on his device

Try turning iMessage off, restart your phone and then turn iMessage back on. Tell your contact to check the settings too, maybe he haven't noticed.
