    Hi there!

    Can somebody help me please?

I just bought an iPhone and am learning more about iMessage as I go along. I am considering buying an iPad also

My question is this: I know that conversations I start on my iPhone through iMessage should show up on my iPad, once I have one. If I delete iMessages from my iPhone do they automatically delete from my iPad also, or will I have to delete them myself manually on the iPad.

    Thanks for your help!

No, they do not. You have to delete them on whatever device they are on.

Thanks! That seems very odd to me, that iMessage would automatically post a conversation on all your iOS devices and then not update all the devices when things change (i.e. you delete iMessages on one device and it doesn't auto-delete on the other iOS device).

Just a pain in the neck that I will have to deal with, I guess.

I also heard that Mountain Lion is going to support the ability to iMessage from your Macbook as well. Have you heard that?

    Thanks for all your help!

I have OS X Mountain Lion installed on my MacBook and I can indeed send & receive iMessages and it works great, thus far. The notifications are not in your face, but are nicely done.
