How come some numbers I can't text from iPad? It has that little red exclamation mark next to the contact. Thanks!

They prob don't have a iPhone or iPad you can only text numbers who have iMessage

I think you receive the red exclamtion mark, if the other party has not set up iMessage on their device, or if it is not an iOS device.
