I personally think Textit! is better and FREE

The 2 things I dont like about Ping! are
1) it is iPhone contained while others like Textit! and LuciD are spreading to Android and other platforms so it is not just iPhone contained
2) Textit which is graphically superior and LuciD which is about equal are both FREE
