lt boils down to storage space. If 256 GB isn’t enough for you then go with the 1T model.

Welcome to the forums. How much space is in your current PC now? If you are close to being full, you may want to consider getting the upgraded storage.

With lots of them where I'm the IT admin I'll point out that a "Fusion" tier storage model will have the effect of more performance most of the time. That's a good way to have more storage and good performance.

After how much storage you need think about how much performance you need. My own usage and a subset of my users benefit from the fast storage same time just as many don't need to pay any premium for it. About 1/2 the Macs I buy are entry models that keep everyone happy.
