Imac won't restarting

I bought new IMAC MA710LL C2D 1.83 1GB-160GB-COMBO-17"-OSX today but the problem this computer won't restarting when I click restart just stuck with background screen forever so I have to do manual shut down and turn on again. Please help

That's definitely a frustrating issue to have. Since you stated in your OP that it's new, I would suggest you go back to where you purchased it from, or Apple Support, to get it looked at or fixed.
