A Photography Question (Adobe Lightroom)

I am considering moving from PC to Mac. On Windows, I am a happy user of Lightroom 5. I have read reports of problems running LR on the iMac and MacBook Pro, particularly the Retina screen models. Are there any photographers here who would be willing to share their experience, good or bad, of using Adobe's products?
