SSDs are wonderful. I'd hate to go back to a standard hard drive for day to day use. Platter based hard drives are good for backup solutions though. And if I was in the market for an iMac, ID go for the Fusion drive to get the best of both worlds.

I want a MacBook badly and have never used a Mac. PC until now but want a laptop to be a Mac. As I asked in another forum any recommendations for a beginner?

I replied in one of the other forums. The transition was pretty easy for me but I'm very technical so even though I'd never use Macs before, it was pretty easy to switch and poke into all the menus to find what I was looking for. It just takes a bit of patience to get used to something new.
