I recently had to change my Apple ID password because I accidentally set up two-step authentication when I had to reset my settings on my iPhone because of battery drainage. Now my iMessages won’t sync with my Mac anymore. I deleted my iCloud off my Mac & re-entered it as well as my iPhone. Does it matter what you do first, for example iPhone then Mac

Disable “Text Message Forwarding” to your Mac and re-enable it.

You do that on your phone or your Mac. Sorry for my ignorance I haven’t had to do this in a while
